I’m tired of forcing myself to read this. I honestly don’t even want to know what could potentially happen next I liked this one but thought the ending a bit rushed.
I decided to plug through and finish with Taltos. It was weird, I just thought they both lacked depth in this one, and they were just basically there to “fill in” the character slots for an entirely different story. I’m so impressed by Anne Rice’s capacity for what I’d call speculative historical fiction, as well as being enamored by these creatures. Keep a punching bag handy. Had a hard time liking this book.
