Freud, the Reluctant Philosopher. Introduction to the Reading of Lacan. I felt no urge to continue. Overall, it certainly does deliver what it sets out to–introducing Lacan via clinical practices and anecdotes. Jean Laplanche is to my mind one of the very few analysts who can give Introduxtion a run for his money when it comes to the reading of Freud.
Odor di Murderer, Scent of a Killer. These are the readers Bruce Fink addresses in this clear and practical account of Lacan’s highly original approach to therapy. Three Essays on Drive and Desire was published a couple of years after these and is also both excellent and accessible.
His series of lectures are published in French as the Problematiques. The Structure of Psychological Common Sense.

Interesting and extensive list, thanks. A second volume, Death by Analysis, was clunical by Karnac into introducrion followed by two further mysteries in The Purloined Love and Odor di Murderer.

The Violence of Interpretation. My one criticism would be that it doesn’t give enough examples from real-life clients.
