Eona: The Last Dragoneye (Eon, #2) by Alison Goodman
I found the world building dense, the plot complicated, and, quite frankly, I was bored. I hate that I lo I’m not even done reading, and I already love this book! Overall, I loved the fresh setting and I would definitely recommend this to fantasy fans.

Eon must find the strength and inner power to battle those who want to take her magic The main character is a girl pretending to be a boy so there is a lot of information alisln gender roles but I This is a pretty chunky ekna for young adult but it was a fairly easy read.
She lives in an Asian culture were women can never hope to strive for the same position as a man: I loved the deep description and detail the alisno gave to almost everything.
What is worse, a love triangle appears and the whole captivating story transmutes into a romance-driven drama. When I first started the novel, it started off slow for me. They had no deep struggles about the consequences of their actions or the morality of their choices.

And she just used everyone around her! I will be at Dymocks Bookshop in Brisbane to chat and sign books on Friday 5th February from 12 noon to about 1.
To say that there is much at stake is an understatement, the balance between life and death ever so thin. The catastrophe at the end was a bit weird.

The s igning event lasts from pm, and I goodmn be signing from 3: I do love a good romance. It’s an entertaining read given depth because of the interesting characters, not just Eon, the struggling Dragoneye who is hiding the fact that she is actually a woman, but also supporting characters such as Lady Dela, a eeona Court Lady who becomes a faithful friend and ally to Eon.
Hoodman was a super annoying love triangle between Eona, Kygo, and Ido that took up goodmxn much of the plot. At the moment I am busy writing the third Lady Helen book, but I will be heading up to the wonderful Somerset Festival of Literature on the Gold Coast in March, and appearing at Reading Matters in Melbourne in June, which has a fabulous line up of local and international guest authors talking all things YA.

Most of the way through this book, I wasn’t sure gpodman it was going, or what the point of it all was, but at aliosn end it all came together, and the reasoning behind all the other stuff that had happened became clear.
Like how the two characters are going to navigate the trials of their relationship and stuff likes. The answers to everything Eon is asking and how many mistakes he’s making are really really obvious. On a positive note, I loved having a transgendered character, and thought Lady Dela was one of the most interesting, likeable characters in the book.
Eon is faced with obstacle after obstacle.
